What the colors mean

City garages are free if you leave within the first hour. After that the first hour is charged too.
The two county decks (College Street and Sears Alley) are not free. They start at $1 per half hour.
Downtown meters are free after 6 PM, before 8 AM, all day Sunday and on city holidays.
The South Slope is getting new meters. The city approved up to 170 of them in June 2026, so a free street there today may be metered soon.
Green park and greenway lots are free, but they're there for people using the park.
Purple areas are neighborhoods outside the city's meter zones. Some blocks are permit-only or have time limits, so read the signs.
Rules change. Always read the sign or meter where you park.
